Since 1987
A dive service built for Southern California harbors: scheduled, documented, and done right.

The work behind the waterline
Leading Edge Yacht Services has worked Southern California harbors since 1987. What began as a straightforward commitment has remained the defining standard through nearly four decades of service: show up on schedule, clean the hull properly, and replace the zincs before they fail. The harbors change around it; the schedule does not.
Every visit is documented. Condition notes are provided after each dive so owners have a clear picture of the hull, running gear, and anodes over time. A visual inspection is part of every dive, with date-stamped photo and video documentation available when a closer look is needed. Owners who are seldom aboard benefit most: they know what was done, when, and what to watch. That level of accountability is what separates routine maintenance from genuine care.
The work stays in its service areas by design. The harbors and marinas we serve are where the client relationships live, where the harbormaster requirements are understood, and where a consistent schedule is actually achievable. Depth of service in a defined area, rather than reach across a region, is the foundation of the reliability that owners depend on.
“Show up, every time. Do the work right. Take care of the boat.”
Our standard since 1987
CPDA membership recognises divers who meet the professional standards of California's commercial and service diving community. It reflects a commitment to safe practices, continuing education, and accountability: the baseline expected of any diver trusted with a vessel in a working marina.
BMP compliance means hull-cleaning work follows environmentally responsible protocols that protect the harbor: controlling paint residue, antifouling material, and debris at the source. California harbors require it; responsible operators follow it regardless. It matters to the water the boats float on.
Where we work
The service area is defined and intentional. Leading Edge works five Southern California harbors and marinas on a consistent, scheduled basis: Newport Harbor, Huntington Harbor, Alamitos Bay, Long Beach Shoreline Marina, and Marina del Rey. Vessels berthed in any of them are eligible for regular dive service, hull cleaning, zinc replacement, and the inspection included with every dive.
Working within a defined geography means every client can count on a reliable schedule rather than a best-effort one. If your vessel is in one of these harbors, request a quote and we will review the details and respond within one business day.
